Big Time Pro Wrestling & Rage Entertainment presents: Beginnings To An End

Feb. 27/10, Ottawa, Ont., Rideau Carleton Entertainment Center

Ring Announcer: Super Sam Dube

Event Host: Mr. Hollywood Matt Demers

Referee: Jonathon Rogerson

Attendance: 175

QUICK RESULTS:

Jaguar beat Rahim Ali with a flying drop kick.

Tray Hugh Mongous & Thunder : TNT beat Derric Hamilton & Cecil Nyx when Tray squashed Cecil with a corner slingshot splash.

Frank The Beast Bradley beat The Conquistador with a spinebuster.

The Real JJB beat Roy Stevens with a leg drop bulldog.

Koko & Razz Monsour beat Prof. Adib Monsour with synchronized superkicks in triple threat action.

MVP Michael Von Payton beat Pierre Khourey with a superkick followed by a brainbuster.

Drake Styles beat Maximus Primal by faking reconciliation and blindsiding him with a superkick.

Nothing too dramatic to start off the show, Mr. Hollywood presenting this evenings card, Mr. Know-It-All putting in his 2 cents running off his mouth as usual. Mr. Hollywood made a quick comeback, making reference to the handbag Know-It-All was carrying, referring to it as a "Man Purse", giving the fans something to chant and harass Mr. Know-It-All for the entire event.

1st Match: Rahim Ali vs Jaguar

Jaguar was definitely the underdog in this match, right away making it obvious that he was no rule-breaker, and Rahim Ali cheating his way to the advantage from the start. Ali was in charge for much of this match, but eventually Rahim got too cocky and reckless, decided to veer from his technical and brawling style and go a little aerial. He missed a drop-kick, which was the turning point in this match and Jaguar made his comeback. Ironically, it was a flying dropkick that totally KO'd Rahim and scored the win for Jaguar. Not surprisingly,
Rahim did not acknowledge the loss, boastfully proclaiming that he never loses.

2nd Match: Tray Hugh Mongous & Thunder :Tn'T vs Cecil Nyx & Derric Hamilton

Definitely mis-match of the night, newly graduated students Cecil and Derric were up against opponents twice their size, and way more experienced, and definitely ruthless. To give the new guys their due, they did attempt a strategic method that normally works against opponents of this size by attacking the legs in a stick and move method. They did manage to get Tray off his feet, but failed to cut him off from his partner Thunder, and this is where things started to go bad. Derric and Cecil were repeatedly tortured with double-handed chops from the big guys and mercifully, this match came to an end when Tray finished off Cecil after a corner slingshot splash.

Well, Mr. Know-It-all doesn't give up, once again he calls out Dave Titan, as he has on previous shows to get him to sign up and become part of his entourage. As usual, Dave went to the ring, regardless of the presence of Tray and Thunder, and once again making it perfectly clear he wanted nothing to do with signing on to Mr. Know-It-All. Just as Dave was about to leave, Mr. Know-It-All proclaimed that Dave Titan did in fact already sign up, told him to look at the video screen. At the last event, Dave was knocked out and dragged back to the locker room by Tray and Thunder, what happened afterwards was finally revealed on the screen. While Dave was semi-conscious but totally out of it, they manipulated Dave into signing a contract. Mr. Know-It-All laughed and proclaimed that Dave Titan was now his property. Dave retaliated by attacking Thunder to good effect, but was attacked by Tray from behind. It remains to be seen whether Dave will honour the contractual obligations, or will he consistently rebel against Know-It-All and Tn'T.

3rd match: Frank The Beast Bradley vs The Conquistador

The Beast made his way to the ring in his usual deadly serious no-time-for-games manner. The Conquistador, a newcomer dressed in a yellow luchador mask and matching bodysuit made his way to the ring as if he was attending some grand fiesta. The Beast was somewhat off-balance by Conquistador's un-orthodox methods and constant jabbering in some kind of half spanish/ half english gibberish. But the Beast, like a predator, eventually found his opponent's weakness - The Conquistador appeared more intent on entertaining the crowd than winning the match, a few solid shots got him punch drunk, in a very comical way much to the delight of the crowd, but it also left him vulnerable and fell prey to a beastly spinebuster. The Conquistador however, quickly shook off the cobwebs, shrugged his shoulders at the loss, and invited kids to come in to the ring to dance to his Mexican theme music.

4th Match: Roy Stevens vs The Real JJB

JJB one of the more popular wrestlers at RE, was pitted against one of the least popular, Roy Stevens. Roy has never done anything particularly evil, and certainly not among the worst of rulebreakers, but has a way of getting under the fan's skin with his conceited arrogance. On the other hand, JJB has done nothing spectacularly heroic, but has looks, mannerism, and a physique that is well liked by the fans. The advantage went back and forth, Roy with his strength and experience, JJB with his speed and agility. This match could have gone either way, but JJB managed to counter Roy's chokeslam finisher and took him out by surprise with a legdrop bulldog.

5th Match: Adib Monsour vs Koko Monsour vs Razz Monsour

Apparently, there was no scheduled match involving these 3, and it appears they just went to mock the fans, Adib flaunting his wealth as usual, running off his mouth on the mic, when Crusher Kline appeared at ringside with a message from Commissioner Misty Haven, that these 3 have been consistently swarming Crusher in past events, and refusing to take him on one on one. They were ordered to have a triple threat match - naturally all refusing to fight each other, even with the threat of removal from title contention, until they heard the stipulation that the loser would have to fight Crusher at the next event. On that note, Adib immediately blindsided his twin nephews from behind with clotheslines. Eventually, Adib would learn that money couldn't buy everything, including his own nephews, whose teamwork eventually paid off as they took out Adib with synchronised superkicks.

6th Match: MVP Michael Von Payton vs Pierre Khoury

Haven't seen Khourey in awhile, one thing I can say off the bat, the man has a thick build, not heavily defined but legs like tree stumps, kinda wonder what strategy his opponent MVP will take. It was immediately obvious that MVP was better technically skilled, but was having a tough time combating his opponents strength advantage. Khoury eventually became overconfident, showing off by placing MVP on the top tope, MVP took Khourey down with a sunset flip from the top tope. MVP maintained the momentum and eventually took out Khourey with a superkick followed by a brainbuster.

7th Match: Drake Styles vs Maximus Primal

At the previous event, Drake Styles double-crossed his own brother, Maximus Primal by interfering and causing a loss for Maximus in a match against Adib Monsour. Maximus, as shocked and devastated as he was, accepted this match pitting brother against brother. I would have predicted that Maximus would have been too hesitant to fight his own brother and that would have cost him the initiative, but that was not so. He immediately tore into his brother attempting to teach his brother a lesson with some tough love. It was only through Drake's equivalent technical skills that he was able to somewhat thwart this onslaught, but his brother's fury was obviously getting the better of him, when he finally decided to kiss and make up, or so it seemed. Drake was on his knees pleading and begging forgiveness, which Maximus hesitantly accepted, Drake got up, and the 2 brothers embraced. Maximus was momentarily distracted and immediately blindsided with a superkick and pinned. Maximus was visibly distraught at the situation leading to his loss. A re-match between the 2 brothers has been set up for the next show, but everyone is wondering how Maximus' state of mind will affect the outcome of this match?
