DETAILED RESULTS:

1st match: "Prince Of Persia" Rahim Ali vs Jaguar

Looks like we have a deja-vu match here, once again Jaguar is facing Rahim Ali, who is obviously head strung on ending Jaguar's unbeaten streak. Jaguar initially took the advantage, but made the mistake of trying his finisher, the flying dropkick way too early, which Ali successfully dodged and pretty well maintained the upper hand for the remainder of the match. A lot of fans felt that Jaguar's unbeaten streak was sure to end this time as he was laying on the mat appearing spent, but just managed to dodge a senton at the very last second. Ali was barely able to get to his feet, obviously his whole body numb from that jolt to his spine - making him easy pickings for a finishing attack, by what else? A Jaguar flying dropkick - Jaguar continues his unbeaten streak!

2nd match - Aliah Bowers vs Crimson "X"

Looks like we have an interesting match in the makings - both opponents have yet to win their first match at RE. And, looks like we have a new and unusual ref for this match - wearing a black mask and going by the name of Molson "X". For the most part, Aliah maintained the upper hand for the match as once again, Crimson "X" was match up against a much larger and brutally sadistic opponent. Several times it seems that Crimson would turn the tide with his much greater speed advantage, only to be thwarted by a brutal comeback by Aliah downing him with a clothesline. I noticed that several times during this match, Aliah seemed to favour his back, and it looked like Crimson noticed that as well, and just like a pro, went for his opponent's achilles tendon. A well executed double-knee backbreaker ended Crimson's losing streak, leaving Aliah's quest for a win unfulfilled.

3rd Match: The Incredible Hunks: Deeno & Cheeky vs The Young Guns: Derric Hamilton & Cecil Nyx

For once, it looks as though Derric and Cecil at least have a fair advantage in having a slight size and strength over their opponents, but a severe disadvantage in experience and the underhanded tactics of their opponents. The contest started off pretty well for both teams, lots of frequent tags were made, both teams getting their licks in. Just as it seemed The Young Guns had things going their way, Deeno kicked Derric from outside the ropes, and the Hunks managed to keep Derric from tagging out. It almost seemed as though The Young Guns were being out-gunned by the more experienced team until The Hunks made a fatal miss-calculation in a double-team attack on Derric when Cheeky inadvertently kicked his own partner. This gave Derric the chance to tag in his well rested partner who came in and layed a good beating on both the disoriented Hunks. This time, it was Cheeky that was cut off from his partner as the Young Guns teamed up to deliver their finisher "Full Metal Jacket" and got the win when Cecil pinned Cheeky.

4th Match: MVP Michael Von Payton vs Jae Rukn

An interesting contest to say the least as you have Ottawa's best technical wrestler, MVP, versus one of Ottawa's best aerial wrestlers, Jae Rukn. MVP took the immediate advantage with his obvious strength and size advantage over his considerably smaller opponent. This only lasted until they ended up in the corner, referee did a rather botched job of trying to separate them when Jae caught MVP with a forearm. From then the contest was back and forth with Jae using his quickness mixed with underhanded tactics, but any advantage Jae had was short lived due to the size, strength, and the experience of his opponent. Rukn attempted an aerial attack from the top rope and was caught by MVP and softened up with a backbreaker, followed by a pump-handle backbreaker. MVP finished off Rukn with his finisher, the Mindbender - a twirling uranagi bomb with an extra twirl for good measure.

5th Match: Prof. Adib Monsour vs The Bee Machine

The Bee Machine is another RE wrestler that has yet to taste defeat at RE, yet his opponent, Prof. Adib Monsour considered him an inferior opponent. As Prof. Adib continued shooting his mouth off on the mic, everything in this town was inferior to him, including our hometown jr. hockey team, the Ottawa 67's. Much to the delight of 67's fans, Bee Machine took the advantage almost immediately using his rather unorthodox and embarrassing tactics, repeatedly taunting and striking Adib with his rear end. It got to the point that Bee Machine was showing off and clowning around too much causing Prof. Adib to seize the advantage in the match. That advantage was short lived as "something" came to ringside, that something I can only describe as a hockey puck with huge teeth - the mascot for the Ottawa 67's - The Killer Puck!  And it looks like Adib paid a terrible price for mocking the 67's as Bee Machine snuck up from behind while Adib was distracted by Killer Puck, and rolled him up into a pinfall.

6th match: Pierre Khourey vs The Rush

Hmmmm, Pierre was announced as "Clean and Pure" Pierre Khourey, kind of expected him to make his ring entrance with either a disinfectant spray or hand cleaner - instead, he was wearing an N95 respirator mask (better known as a SARS or H1N1 mask).
For someone who was "Clean and Pure", that mask looked like it was overused as Pierre had to stop a few times to adjust the mask due to the overstretched bands. Rush was finally tired of this and yanked the mask off snapping the rubber band which obviously did not tickle. I personally thought that Pierre would quit the match for Health And Safety reasons as losing his mask was a major distraction. Rush took advantage of this to mount a good offence against Khourey, but to everyone's surprise, Khourey managed to turn the action around on a dime as he caught Rush in a variation of a sit-out powerbomb.

7th match: T 'n T: Tray Hugh Mongous & Thunder vs The Twin Terrors: Koko & Razz Monsour

Not sure if the Monsour brothers had something to hide or they were pure scared of their much larger opponents, but they kept delaying the start of the match by refusing to remove their head scarves. To make matters worse, someone in the back put on the video screen the segment of WWE Smackdown where one of the Mansour brothers had his head shaved by CM Punk's Straight Edge Society. The question that remains, which one? Should have thought of it, they removed their headscarves, and BOTH had had grown-in crew cuts. Not surprisingly, Tray and Thunder were immediately in control of the match with their massive size and weight advantage. The Monsours were able to get their licks in as well, using smart tactics such as clipping the knee on Tray, low blows, and the usual switcheroo tactics. Adib tossed in a chain which one of the Monsours grabbed and clocked Tray, but also got inadvertently head-butted by Tray, leaving both guys out cold. I guess the ref was rather confused as he counted 3 as one of the Mansours pinned Tray, and Thunder pinned the other Mansour. The referee declared the contest to be a draw, but Mr. Know-It-All came into the ring with his handbag and offered $10,000 in cash to Adib as a bribe to forfeit the draw. Uncle Adib greedily accepted the bribe, but his nephews were not at all pleased, causing a noticeable dissention in the family.

8th match: Roy Toy Stevens vs Jimmy D

Never seen this Jimmy D guy before, but right off the bat it looked like he would be easy Pickings for Roy Toy due to an obvious size and strength advantage. Actually, it looked as if Jimmy entered this match at far less than 100% as he moved like he was stiff from 100 matches. Jimmy did enjoy a few brief advantages when Roy would Toy with his opponent. (pun intended!)
Looks like Roy finally had mercy to put this guy out of his misery by picking him up by the throat and choke slamming him.

9th match: The Supreme Superstar Drake Styles vs The Real JJB

JJB has been having mixed success lately - he's had wins in anything but matches against the Monsour family. His opponent Drake has had but one loss so far - and none since he changed his attitude and look. Once again, we have that new referee, Molson "X", (who kinda looks like he had a few too many molson x's judging by his slight staggering) Unlike last time, this was a real tough opponent for Drake, both guys gave it their all in what was one of the better matches tonight. The fans were definitely behind JJB, but it seemed that wasn't enough as Drake was mounting an effective offense, (partly thanks to his manager, Mr. Know-It-All's interference) delivering an impressive split-legged moonsault. Victory appeared a sure thing for Drake as JJB was out on his feet and just as Drake was about to finish JJB with a superkick, the referee suddenly sobered up and took out Drake with a spear, even helped JJB cover Drake and get the pin. As if Mr. Know-It-All wasn't beside himself already, the referee unmasked, and revealed himself to be none other than Dave Titan - you know, the guy that refused to be a part of Know-It-All's entourage - even though he was manipulated into signing a contract, and suspended by Know-It-All for refusing to live up to contractual obligations.

10th match: Maximus Primal vs Frank The Beast Bradley

Ever hear the saying nice guys finish last? Maximus came into the ring with an armload of his merchandise toys, foam axes and spears, tossing them to fans at all sides of the ring. (at least I hope they were made of foam!) While Maximus was tossing souveniers, Frank The Beast gained the initiative by attacking him from behind. Despite being blindsided, and being bitten by the Beast, Maximus rallied back - the beast rallied back as well, turning the match into a back and forth hard-hitting match. At times, it seemed as though The Beast could come out on top, but he made some unusaul errors, for one, he started showboating, not suitable for a guy of his character. Then, he was calling for crowd support, why? He never needed it before, and, the crowd just plain don't like him! Maximus capitalized and attempted a powerbomb, but The Beast found a good counter to this move, by biting the inner thigh, which was effective, but only temporary as Maximus decided to soften him up abit more with a few forearms and then effectively finishing him off with a powerbomb.

I apologize that I wasn't around at the beginning of the show to catch the introduction by the host and co-host, Mr. Hollywood and Mr. Know-It-All, I was out on the patio getting hotdogs and hamburgs. I did get to see Mr. Know-It-All getting a pie in the face courtesy of Mr. Hollywood. It was a pretty good turnout - yeah, it was free, but still, for this time of the year is tough to fill the seats. One of the reasons that this and many other wrestling promotions close for the summer. Still a good crowd with well over 300.

So what's in store for September? It's the start of a new season for RE Big time Pro Wrestling, and it's going to start off with a tournament to determine a champion on Sept. 18. Five of the 14 competitors will be chosen by the fans, the poll is still on at the ragewrestling website. (http://www.ragewrestling.net) So far the top 3 are in the following order: Maximus Primal (10%), MVP Michael Von Payton (9%), and Crusher Kline (8%). Then you have The Real JJB, Rahim Ali, and Cecil Nix tied at (7%) each.  We'll see where the poll goes from here to September.
